Your Councillors

Your Parish Councillors are volunteers; they do not receive an allowance from the Parish Council.

A councillor provides a bridge between the residents and the council.  Councillors are either elected and serve a term of four years or in the case of a casual vacancy they are co-opted on to the Council.  By attending meetings and bringing local issues to the attention of the council, they are able to guide and contribute to the formal decisions made at council meetings.

Residents can meet with councillors to discuss any Galleywood matters.  This could be in person at a Councillor Surgery, or by email.

Councillor Surgeries are held on the last Saturday of the month at Galleywood Library from 10am to 12 noon.
