Chelmsford City Council are replacing the current garden waste collection service with a new opt-in subscription service from 4 March 2025.

Date: Sunday 11 May 2025. 8am – 4pm
Regular price: £20 adults (£24 with coach). £5 for U16s (£9 with coach). Free carer places (£4 with coach). Dogs go free. Optional coach is £4pp.
Booking closes: 4pm on Wednesday 7 May. After this you can pay on the day at Heybridge Basin or Paper Mill Lock. Higher prices will apply.
Coach travel: Park and ride services leave from Teledyne e2v car park and must be booked in advance. For the 24km route, sign in from 8:00am – last coach departs for Heybridge at 9:15am. For the 12km route, sign in from 9:00am – last coach departs for Paper Mill Lock at 10:30am
Heybridge Basin start details: 24km starts from Heybridge Basin, Daisy Meadow car park, CM9 4RW. Sign in between 8:15am and 10:00am, walk starts 8:30am to 10:00am
Paper Mill Lock start details: 12km starts from Paper Mill Lock, CM3 4BS. Sign in between 9:15am and 11:30am, walk starts 9:30am to 11:30am
